2023 provided some surprises for Tazman Jack. Mitch James heard him one night at a venue in Auckland, and liked him so much he invited Taz to go on tour and open for him. This saw Taz pack in his job, pack his bags and take his unique guitar style and beautifully smooth voice around the north island to rapturous crowds - and even encore performances.

Hailing from Dargaville, Tazman Jack (Ngāpuhi and Te Roroa) has amazing guitar skills that have been inspired by legends Stevie Ray Vaughan and Eric Clapton. From the age of 13 Tazman Jack has been strumming his guitar and covering all sorts of songs live and online.

Tazman Jack is also a writer and producer and won the Mai FM Big Break in 2017 with his song “Think About You. When he’s not making music, Taz is astounding people with his incredible feats of fitness training.
